The fifth model of Bugatti Veyron six-part Legends Edition is ready. It will be shown next week during Beijing Auto Show and called ‚Black Bess’.

It is dedicated to memory of one of most important Bugattis ever – Type 18. It had 5 liter 4-cylinder engine and developed 100PS letting the car reach 160km/h of maximum speed. Remember it was in 1910s – presumably it was bigger sensation than 400km/h these days. Only seven units of Type 18 were built and 3 are existing till now. One of them, with number 474, was bought by Roland Garros and called after English racehorse ‚Black Bess’. This particular model will be also joining Beijing Auto show.

The new Bugatti ‚Black Bess’ is based on Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse with 1200PS from W16 8-liter engine. Car hits first 100km/h in 2.6 seconds and can travek up to 408km/h.

Its body is made from carbon fiber, painted in black with 24-carat gold additions like Bugatti horseshoe on grille, rear logo, hub covers and tank oil caps.

Inside the car we can see dedicated door panels with detailed paintings of historic Type 18 ‚Black Bess’ which have been directly sketched on leather.

Only 12 cars will be produced and each of them with price of €2.15 million.
