Skoda is a company with very long history and apart from some time when they didn’t have finances it used to be an upper market car. However after VW has bought the company it started to be the cheaper Wolfsburger version what in some years started to threaten big brother. Indeed cars of both brands were built from the same parts but Skoda was always cheaper. If you don’t care about the badge you can easily get a great quality product and still have money for good holidays.
So the management of VW had to do something with Skodas heritage and todays position which is very strong in middle and east Europe. As Prof. Dr. h.c. Windried Vahland, Skoda CEO said new Skoda Vision C concept will be new base for new design era in Skoda. It underlines Skodas heritage, dynamism and goes a level higher aiming at more luxurious competition. Similar attmpts are made towards Seat.
